An aeronautical engineering students will design, construct, analyse and test the commercial or military aircraft’s, aerospace equipment’s, remotely piloted aircraft and rotor-craft, weapons systems, satellites and missiles.
Students are also able to develop new technologies in commercial aviation, defence systems, and space exploration.
Testing aircraft, rockets, and spacecraft to find and correct potential problems and to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and functionality requirements.
Designing and assembling control panels, propulsion systems, guiding systems, computer systems, and other necessary parts and systems.
Testing, evaluating, modifying, re-testing and improving the performance of different aerospace equipment’s and products.
Supervise the assembly of the air-frames and the installation of engines, instruments and other equipment.
Assembling the aircraft or fitting components.
Modify designs to improve safety features or minimize fuel consumption and pollution.
Inspect malfunctioning or damaged products to identify sources of problems and possible solutions.
Evaluate designs to see that the products meet engineering principles, customer requirements, and environmental regulations.
Communicate technical and regulatory advice to clients, teams, suppliers and other professionals within the aerospace industry.
Develop acceptance criteria for design methods, quality standards, sustainment after delivery, and completion dates.
Agreeing budgets, timescales and specifications with clients and managers.
Assess proposals for projects to determine if they are technically and financially feasible.
Ensure that projects meet quality standards.
Inspection of damaged products.
Investigating the causes of plane crashes or aircraft accidents.
Analysing and interpreting data.
Writing reports, manuals and documentation.
Research and Development of aircraft and aerospace products with respect to design specification.
