A fire alarm annunciator is an electronic hardware, designed with help of microprocessor or micro-controller or advance controller or electronics components.
It is a component of the Fire Alarm System (FAS). A fire alarm annunciator is interfaced with power supply, detectors, sensors, keyboards, audible indicators and visible indicators.
For the interfacing between input peripherals devices (like sensors, detectors, keyboards, switches, and others) the signal conditioning circuits are designed.
Similarly, for the interfacing between output peripherals devices (like a siren, speaker, horn, LCD, LED, Seven Segment Display, and others) the signal conditioning circuits are designed.
A fire alarm annunciator continuously notifies the status of the fire, smoke, gas, flame, and others with help of visible (LCD, LED, Seven Segment Display) and audible (Siren, Horn, Speaker, and others) indicators.
A fire alarm annunciator is also called a remote alarm annunciator.
A fire alarm annunciator is located in an area of the building and separated from the fire alarm control panel.
